Updates Regarding COVID-19

In these uncertain times, what is more evident than ever, is that we must take care of one another.  We hope you and your loved ones stay healthy.  Over the past week, we have seen communities across our nation trying to find the balance between abiding by strict social distancing recommendations, and identifying ways to care for our loved ones, elderly, and those less fortunate.  Champ Homes is no exception.

Champ Homes is a special place, and the home to approximately 50 individuals who care for one another, look after one another, and often consider each other family.  We are also the home to many with compromised immune systems, respiratory issues, and several folks who are over 70.  Due to our vulnerable population, we have strictly followed recommendations from the Department of Health and the CDC in regards to sanitation, personal hygiene, our visitor policy, and of course social distancing.

For decades we have relied on donations of time, treasure, and talent from our community.  Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily refuse donations of food, clothing and household supplies and also restrict access to our homes to only skilled nurses who come in to ensure the safety and health of our participants.

We remain committed to taking every step possible to keep our Champs safe.  We thank you, our supporters, for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.
