Champ Homes Earth Day 5K Clean Up

On behalf of everyone at Champ Homes, thank you so very much for braving the elements on Earth Day for the cleanup. Despite the wind and unseasonably cold temperatures, we had over 50 volunteers and together you all cleaned a total of just over 4 miles of roads, 3 beaches, the inner harbor area, Aselton Park and so much more. We almost filled that 4-yard dumpster, which is a lot of trash!

We cannot thank you enough for being a community that cares about our environment.

Thank you again to our corporate sponsors who, together with individual donors, raised over $7,500 for Champ Homes and those we serve. Our Champ Homes participants appreciated the opportunity to give back to a community that supports them through difficult times, and we all appreciate your generosity!

While the day was not perfect, we learned a lot about how to run an even more successful cleanup for 2022, and hope that you’ll join us again next year. My goal is to have over 100 volunteers, and to be able to tackle a much larger footprint in Hyannis, including Main Street, North Street, and more… Thank you once again!
